1. The initial step is to define the disclaimer text. The message can be appended or prepended. From Office 365 settings, please navigate to Microsoft 365 Admin Center -> Exchange.
2. The next step is to configure a rule from the “Mail Flow -> Rules” section. It is recommended to create a rule to insert a disclaimer message when the e-mail contains an external link and is received outside the organization. Please click on the “+” button within the Exchange Admin Server
3. Give a name to the rule. Add the conditions “The Sender is located outside the organization” and “The subject or body includes http”. The action should be set to “Apply a disclaimer to the message”. “Append a disclaimer” or “Prepend a disclaimer” options can be selected. Any text message can be configured in this step. “Click for Threat Analysis” and fall back action “Wrap” is configured as an example. The mode should be set to “Enforce”.
4. Once the Exchange is configured, please navigate to E-mail Security Settings and configure the “Disclaimer Message”. This parameter is set to “Click for Threat Analysis”, which is the same as your disclaimer message. This setting must be the same as the disclaimer message configured in the previous setting.
5. Once the add-in is deployed, the configured message is highlighted. When the user clicks on the message, the add-in performs a security check on the received e-mail.
