Settings

The Settings menu provides basic settings for DNS Integration, Agent communication interval and Captive Portal settings for blocking client devices based on DNS traffic.

On the DNS Security integration part, you can choose which categories will be monitored. Every poll interval system retrieves summary information from the DNSCyte DNS platform for analysis. Notification Message will be shown to the user when the device is blocked due to policy.

Communication Frequency and Captive Portal for blocking settings can be set by using Windows Agent Settings. Windows Agent communicates with the platform in the defined interval, updates status, and gets any policy defined for the agent devices. Once the agent initiates blocking on the device due to DNS traffic or Compliance Policy violation, Client traffic is redirected to the specified Captive Portal IP address..
